Welcome on the web site of the WIS and the FriS, two seminars at the department of mathematics and computer science of the University of Antwerp.
Both seminars are activities of the Departemental Doctoral Study Programme.
The WIS invites highly respected speakers to present their research on recent scientific issues to a broad audience.
The FriS enables graduate students to present their research. The main language of this seminar is English. The first FriS was held in 1997. If you are a graduate student at the departement of Mathematics and Computer Science and you are willing to give a talk about your research, please contact the organizers.
The presentations are aimed at a general scientific public, so no specific prior knowledge is required.
